JFE Engineering’s Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler is characterized by its compatibility with a wide variety of fuels including: low-grade coal, biomass, sludge, waste plastics, and waste tires, etc., whereas conventional boilers for power generation are available only for fossil fuels, such as high-grade coal, oil and gas. As the needs for a fuel shift are rising in response to the current CO2 emission reduction issues and the soaring oil prices, CFB boiler technology is increasingly attracting attention as a viable solution. Additionally, CFB boilers offer benefits such as low pollution, high-efficiency combustion, space saving, and high maintainability.
