Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH (hereinafter, SBG), a German subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Hajime Oshita, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), has received an order from Romonta EBS GmbH for the waste-to-energy (WtE) power plant in Amsdorf, Germany.
In Germany, in order to reduce greenhouse gases, political measures are underway to abolish coal mining and coal-fired power generation by 2038.
Romonta Group owns a large-scale brown coal mine on its premises and supplies heat and electricity to its own factory with a lignite-fired boiler. Romonta Group have decided to build a new WtE power plant to proceed fuel conversion from lignite.
The plant will have a treatment capacity of 366 t/d of waste with one incinerator. The steam will be supplied to the plant of Romonta for power generation and wax production. The components fuel crane, firing system, boiler, flue gas treatment and the associated auxiliary equipment are part of the SBG delivery scope.
SBG has been involved in the design and construction of Approx. 120 WtE power plants to date.
In addition to this proven track record, SBG was selected for the reason of successful supply of two boiler lines incl. water cooled pusher type grate in 2004 and 2009, with full satisfaction of our customer.
The JFE Engineering Group will continue to contribute to create a recycling society in the future by mobilizing the group's total capabilities to promote proposals for WtE power plants in countries throughout the world.
