Opening of the JFE Engineering Bangladesh Branch Office

JFE Engineering Corporation (CEO: Hajime Oshita; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has opened its Bangladesh branch office in Dhaka, the capital of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, on April 1, 2021.
Following its rapid economic growth in recent years, Bangladesh, with its population of about 160 million (8th in the world), encourages rapid social and environmental infrastructure development. In order to actively accommodate to these needs, we opened the Bangladesh branch office to make our business activities stronger.
In Bangladesh, We have already had several experience of steel bridge construction works, such as the Kanchpur, Meghna, and Gumti Bridges (completed) as well as the Jamuna Railway Bridge (under construction). Through fully utilizing the local networks cultivated in these projects, we will contribute to the development of Bangladesh and the achievement of its SDGs.
