JFE Engineering Group Receives Order for WtE Plant in France - High Evaluation of Proven Track Record of Standardkessel Baumgarte -

Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH (hereinafter, SBG), a German subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Hajime Oshita, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), has received an order from B+T Energie France, a member of B+T group, for the EPCC (Energie Production Center Chalampé) a waste-to-energy (WtE) power plant in Chalampé, France.

The plant will have a treatment capacity of 200,000 t/y of waste with one incinerator, and generate 96.8 t/h of steam. The steam will be supplied to an adjacent chemical plant of ALSACHIMIE (a BASF and Domo Chemiclas company). For the proper generation of steam, RDF, industrial waste and other solid waste fuels are to be used, thus to complement the existing gas-fired power plants and reduce the use of natural gas.

SBG has been involved in the design and construction of Approx. 120 WtE power plants to date. In addition to this proven track record, this order was also awarded based on a high evaluation of SBG´s long approved experience in the area of waste to energy and especially with regard to the reference plant Bernburg * and others in Germany, which included a similar scope of supply and services.

The JFE Engineering Group will continue to contribute to create a recycling society in the future by mobilizing the group's total capabilities to promote proposals for WtE power plants in countries throughout the world.
