JFE Engineering Corporation
Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH
Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH (hereinafter, SBG), a subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Hajime Oshita, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), has received an order for waste heat recovery boilers comprising power and heat supply equipment in Frankfurt, Germany. The plant will be owned and operated by the Infraserv GmbH & Co. Hoechst KG, site operator of the Industriepark Hoechst, which is located in the same city.
Infraserv GmbH & Co. Hoechst KG decided to carry out this new construction project against the following background. Infraserv is promoting improvement of the utility supply infrastructure for the Industriepark Hoechst, part of the city of Frankfurt, which has a high concentration of companies in the chemical industry. Construction of the new plant is part of its expansion of this business and shall increase the availability of the supply of electricity and process steam.
The order received by SBG includes the design and construction of two waste heat recovery boilers for generation of high pressure and low pressure steam and the related plant equipment. The steam generated by the constructed boilers will be used in steam turbines and as process steam.
SBG has constructed more than 100 HRSGs to date, mainly in Europe. In addition to this proven track record, SBG won this order because of its references for so-called "Flying Take Over (FTO)" which means a rapid change (within seconds) between operation modes GT-Mode and Fresh Air Mode with sophisticated firing systems and controls. This feature is important for all industrial clients depending on secure steam supply for their production needs. SBG has 27 references for "Flying Take Over (FTO)" in the past.
In the future, the JFE Engineering Group JFE will continue to supply the optimum technologies for clients' increasingly diverse needs in countries around the world.
