The power of ″diversity″ that brings evolution to our organization.

JFE Engineering traces its origins to the steel and shipbuilding businesses, and it has supported people’s lives and various industries while integrating and developing technologies. Since its establishment, it has actively promoted career recruitment and M&A, and the diverse personnel that has supported a wide range of business development is our company’s source of strength.
In aiming for a sustainable society, our company embraces the purpose statement “Create, Sustain, Connect the Foundation of Lives - Just For the Earth.” To realize it, I believe that promoting diversity is crucial, as it allows individuals with various experiences, perspectives, and skills to create new value through chemical reactions and evolve the organization.
We must continue to evolve further while flexibly adapting to changes in the external environment. For that purpose, it is important to acknowledge each other's differences and accept them, while also expanding the diversity within each individual to bring out their true selves.
We will continue to work on creating an organization where all employees can fully maximize their abilities.

Diversity Promotion System

As part of our CSR promotional activities, our management team established the Diversity Committee in order to formulate and review company-wide diversity promotion policies and develop and implement plans for diversity advocacy in each division. The leaders of each division coordinate with the Diversity Promotion Leader in supporting diversity and inclusion within their divisions.

Social Mission
Our company is expanding our business activities in the fields that support people’s lifestyles and industry, such as the environment, energy, and social infrastructure, taking on the challenge of achieving the SDGs head on. With the aim of becoming a company that can lead the world in attaining the SDGs, we are enthusiastic about promoting diversity in order to bring together people who share our vision regardless of gender, nationality, or background.

As we accelerate our entry into new business fields through tie-ups with different industries and by expanding business with overseas partners, it is essential that we integrate the ideas and skills of diverse human resources in order for us to accurately identify needs and generate innovation. In addition, we are striving to encourage diversity so as to make sure that we continue to adapt to the constantly changing business environment.
Bringing Together Diverse Employees
Our company strengthened its technological power and expanded its business activities by combining different organizations through corporate mergers. At the same time, we brought together employees from a diverse range of backgrounds as the result of operating bases in Japan and overseas along with proactively undertaking career recruitment on a continuous basis. With the aim of evolving our organizational strengths, we are advocating the value of diversity by respecting the individuality of each employee while merging organizations.
