Material Handling for Biomass Boilers

JFE Engineering’s material handling equipment is made up mainly of a belt conveyors and silos which are and capable of efficiently storing and conveying bulk materials (earth sand, coal, limestone, cement, petroleum coke, sawdust, wood chips, bark, waste tires, cut tires, waste plastics, etc.) . This equipment can handle a variety of objects if operated in combination with flex conveyors (vertical conveyor or steep conveyor), a chain conveyor, a flight conveyor, or a screw conveyor in addition to a flat conveyor. The steel silo and the cutting outlet (unloading system) contribute to the stable operation of the system and the protection of the environment.

Feature This is a curved flat belt-type conveyor. As the belt is not forcibly curved by side rollers but by tilting, the belt’s life is prolonged. Unlike pipe conveyors, this conveyor system is not vertically restrained and is suitable for conveying substances containing large clods.

Feature This conveyor is capable of stably conveying substances over long distances. One of the most common issues faced by long-distance conveyors is meandering. This problem is prevented in this conveyor system by the proper placement of meandering correction rollers and accuracy control during manufacturing and installation.

Feature Flexible curved conveyance is possible due to the fact that the belt is formed into a ring shape. As an environmental protection measure the return pipe conveyor is designed to inwardly wind the contact surface of the return belt. This feature is highly effective in preventing the dropping of powdery coal.
