JFEE to Deliver 112MWe CFB Boiler Power Plant
–Large Scale and High Efficiency Power Generation by Co-firing of Coal and Biomass Fuel–

JFE Engineering Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan President: Hisanori Kanou) received an EPC(Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) order of 112MWe biomass power plant using CFB※1 boiler in Kushiro City, Hokkaido, Japan.

The plant has planned in Kushiro City, Hokkaido by Kushiro Thermal Power Plant Inc.※2 It is co-firing power plant of coal and biomass using the Valmet※3/JFE’s CFB boiler. The generating-end output is 112,000kWe.

The efficiency is as high as pulverized coal boiler, which is standard for coal-fired power plant, even though it reduces CO2 emission by co-firing of coal and “carbon neutral” biomass※4.

JFEE and Valmet contribute to realize the resource-saving and low-carbon emission society through deliveries of Valmet/JFE CFB boilers power plants, which have high efficiency, and fuel diversification.
