Pipeline for Multiple Oil Products (Malaysia)

Multi-product pipelines that can transport multiple petroleum products in a single pipeline

「A multi-product pipeline is a method of transporting several types of petroleum products through a single pipeline. While the number of long-distance pipelines in Japan is limited, many have been constructed overseas, especially in Southeast Asia, where construction of multi-product pipelines has been increasing in recent years.
In this project, a multi-product pipeline (total length of approximately 130 km x 16) was constructed with the Petronas Refinery in Malacca (MRPP) and the Shell Refinery in Port Dickson (PDPP) as originating terminals and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Klang Valley Petroleum Distribution Terminal (KVDT) as destination terminals. The pipeline was designed and constructed to allow switching of arrival terminals by installing a branch terminal at the pipeline junction point between KLIA and KVDT.

Location From Melaka Refinery and Port Dickson Refinery to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Klang Valley Distribution Terminal
Project Owner Petronas Dagangan / Shell Malaysia JV
