| TOKYO –
At their respective board of directors meetings today,
JFE Holdings, Inc. (President: Yoichi Shimogaichi),
JFE Steel Corporation (President: Fumio Sudo), JFE Engineering
Corporation (President: Shigeharu Dote) and Kawasaki
Microelectronics, Inc. (President: Susumu Hirano) decided
to appoint top management posts effective April 1.
1. JFE Holdings, Inc.
President, CEO and Representative Director:
Fumio Sudo (currently: President and CEO, JFE Steel;
concurrently: Director, JFE Holdings)
Mr. Sudo will resign from JFE Steel on April 1 to assume
the post of JFE Holdings President at the company’s
board of directors meeting to be held the same day.
Kanji Emoto, currently Chairman and Co-CEO, JFE Holdings,
and Yoichi Shimogaichi, currently President and Co-CEO,
JFE Holdings, will resign from their respective posts
at the company’s board of directors meeting on
April l. They will also resign from the board of directors
and become advisers at the company’s annual general
shareholders’ meeting in late June.
2. JFE Steel Corporation
President, CEO and Representative Director:
Hajime Bada (currently: Senior Vice President, JFE Steel)
Mr. Bada will assume his new post on April 1 at the
company’s extraordinary general shareholders’
meeting, which will be followed by a board of directors
meeting.
3. JFE Engineering Corporation
President, CEO and Representative Director:
Osamu Saito (currently: Senior Vice President, JFE Holdings)
Mr. Saito will assume his new post on April 1 at the
company’s extraordinary general shareholders’
meeting, which will be followed by a board of directors
meeting.
Shigeharu Dote, currently President of JFE Engineering,
will resign to become the company’s adviser on
April 1.
4. Kawasaki Microelectronics, Inc.
President, CEO and Representative Director:
Yukio Yamauchi (currently: Director, Kawasaki Microelectronics)
Mr. Yamauchi will assume his new post at the company’s
board of directors meeting to be held on April 1.
Susumu Hirano, currently President of Kawasaki Microelectronics,
will resign to become the company’s adviser on
April 1.
